I used to frequent this bakery when I was a pharmaceutical sales rep in South Fl to pick up Columbian food for some of my Latin doctors. An absolute gem of a place, tucked away in a little nondescript strip mall. Not only is this the best place to brush up on your Spanish (I'd say about 20% English is ever spoken between these four walls)...but where else can you eat fluffy-scrambled eggs with peppers and onions, arepas, pork and a heaping pile of rice and beans for about 4 bucks?? Top it off with some killer Columbian coffee, and you are set to conquer your day. Grab some Columbian bread to go, for snacking later on. Not to be missed!

If you're Colombian or love authentic Colombian food you'll want to try this place out. The guava pastries are a nice treat as are--one of my favorites--pan de bono (cheese bread). The empanadas were freshly made; deliciously filled with a nice crispiness on the outside. It was lunchtime on a Saturday so it was fairly busy, but they were adequately staffed so we were given our order quickly. I don't know how their entrees measure as I ordered a few things to go, but they looked appetizing. Another plus: I bought a Colombian jersey for a really good price.

Ahhh, great Colombian bakery where it was needed the most. This bakery location was much needed, as there isn't anything worth it close by University Drive and Pines Blvd. They have many different types of pastries, empanadas, and other baked goods along with soups, and regular food. Don't be discouraged by the crowds when you walk in. The employees will take care of you fast. They have a number system, so make sure you grab your number when you walk in. The empanadas are delicious and topped with the picante, they are amazing. You'll want to order at least 3 of these. I also recommend the arepas con queso and the morcilla (blood sausage). The prices are not too expensive so it won't break your bank.

Best Colombian bakery I have been to in Miami, food wise. There are no tables and it is always somewhat crowded, but the food is sooooo good; especially breakfast! For about four years, I went at least twice a week to have breakfast at this place. Their Pandebons and empanadas are veeery good and the portions are generous. Also the pricing is very fair. Not a "take your anyone" type of place but perfect for a solo meal.

Food is very good. Love, love the mondongo. Ladies in staff are great and know me by name. Almost 10 years going there... wow how time flies.

The food here was good Latin food. I would recommend this place for someone who wants to pick up something quick. Their sancocho was very good. The grilled chicken was a little dry. The chicharron was a bit disappointing due to being way to overcooked. The staff is very friendly. Even though the food was good it has nothing special to set it apart from similar restaurants.

I've been a customer at this place for over 10 years. They have great food and pastries and even though they are short staffed at times, they do their best. My favorite from them is the Bandeja Piesa with grilled steak, egg, rice, beans, plantains, and fried pork belly (chicharron). Topped off with a beef and potato empanada and a tres leches pastry. They are one of the better Colombian spots around. I am not Colombian, but I like the food. They have all sorts of mixed drinks, soups, and even candy from Latin America that makes you miss home. Whenever I am in the mood for homemade food that I don't have to cook, I go there and get something that reminds me of home. It's a great spot, they need more tables and chairs but most people make due. It's just tough around the rush times. The food portions are adequate and in all of my time going I can't say that I have had many complaints about how the food was cooked. I can be picky and say that the egg was overcooked at times and the fried pork belly was too tough, but those were minor. It's a great place to go and they have food ready pretty quick. It's about a 20 minute drive for me to get there and I order on the way and it's ready by the time I get there.

Have been coming here for over a year now and they have never disappointed. Amazing Colombian coffee along with all bakery items. The sopa de pollo is delicious. Will definitely cure anything lol

The owner's must be proud. The bakery is run efficiently and the staffing there is fast and friendly. You can order more then just delicious Columbian pastries and bread, as Mi Casita serves up a great lunch too!

This place is so yummy. I've only had their pastries & cafe con leche. I love coming here every weekend even when I know it's packed. And it always is on the weekends. They're coffee is amazing if the right lady makes. They all make it they're own way. It's cute. It's all about how you take your coffee.

I'll mention two simple things that merit 1 star. I came here early morning thinking a bakery should be able to provide their customer with buttered toast and coffee. Nope! The lady told me they don't have tostada. So I decide to order a pan de bono, and it was cold! Why would you serve a pan de bono cold? This place lacks attention to detail I won't return.

Great Colombian fast food. my favorites: empanadas, bandeja paisa and mojarra. Great prices and good service. It can get really pack and there is no room preside to sit. My only tip to any reader is to try to call your breakfast order ahead of time and that will cut your waiting time.

Best fresh arepas in the area.. Typical dishes. Don't stay in the store too long because you will buy everything.. Buñuelos, pan de bono, sopita de lentejas and the list goes on. Yeah, go in and get out unless you want to look like Santa Claus... lol
